Reducing Your Risk Factors

Many of the conditions that damage or shorten our lives are preventable if found early enough.

With our support, you can identify risk factors affecting your health and adjust your lifestyle and environment to reduce the risk of developing the five biggest killers in the Western world. According to the World Health Organisation, these include:

1. Heart disease
2. Cancer
3. Respiratory conditions
4. Stroke
5. Alzheimer’s

During your health check-up, we will determine the risk level you face when it comes to developing these and other conditions. We will then help you minimise them with a clear action plan.

What differentiates our health check-up is its fully comprehensive nature. No health problem occurs in a vacuum, and that’s reflected in our holistic and multidisciplinary service. Alongside our core physical and mental health assessments, our team of specialists will investigate stress issues, sleep disorders, dental problems, skin ailments and other conditions relevant to you.

All our assessments are bespoke to you and carried out by internationally recognised experts in their fields using state-of-the-art technology. Everybody has different health challenges, and we are determined to provide a service that helps you identify and overcome them.

A Closer Look at Our Assessments

Tests on your first day determine your overall health status, including medical history, epigenetic testing, blood tests, gut biology and metabolome tests, stress hormone levels testing,  oxidative stress and mitochondrial function, a full-body MRI scan, and more.

A WGS can help us unlock your genetics' complete and unique characteristics, allowing for a greater understanding of your genetic makeup. This is a once-in-a-lifetime test which involves taking a swab of DNA (salvia) and analysing it with specialised technology. A WGS can help us foresee potential health risks, diagnose genetic disorders, screen for cancer risks, and assess reproductive health, family health history, and other well-being parameters. In so doing, we can tailor our recommendations to your exact genetic needs.

We assess cardiovascular health and the impact of stress through 24-hour ECG, heart rate variability testing, ergometry, and carotid ultrasound. If needed, we will carry out additional tests, such as a stress echocardiography and/or 24-hour blood pressure monitoring.

Our neurologic assessment examines your cognitive function, memory, and the risk of developing conditions such as Alzheimer's disease. We assess cranial nerves, sensory function and reflexes and conduct a full-body MRI. Genetic testing and EEG examinations are also conducted, and factors including medical history, general health and lifestyle are taken into account.

The mind-body connection is key to your health and our programme. Our in-house psychiatrist will conduct a personalised diagnostic procedure to identify mental health conditions affecting the quality of your life and physical health.

Our assessment includes lung function and breathing capacity tests such as spirometry and fitness and physical health assessments. We also consider lifestyle and environmental factors, including smoking and pollution.

Our comprehensive set of screenings includes laboratory tests, and specialised examinations such as thyroid sonography, abdominal ultrasound, gynaecological check-up and urological checks. Optional gastroscopy and colonoscopy are also available if required. A complete blood count (CBC) measures the levels of red blood cells, white blood cells and platelets in your blood and provides clues about the possible presence of cancer. The Full Body MRI is also part of our cancer screening protocol.

Our specialists will conduct specific examinations based on the results of your full-body MRI and laboratory tests. These will vary from person to person but may include thyroid sonography, abdominal ultrasounds, urological check-ups, gastroscopies and colonoscopies.

By monitoring brain waves, eye motions and heart rhythms during sleep, we will assess if you suffer from issues such as insomnia, restless leg syndrome or sleep apnea.

Beyond these core areas, we explore a range of further issues that could impact your quality of life through tests, including dermatological assessments, gynaecological assessments, urological checks, dental health checks, abdominal ultrasound, and optional endoscopy to investigate digestive issues.

Results & Recommendations

The aim of our comprehensive diagnostic process is to build a clear picture of your well-being. This will shape recommendations that are designed to improve the quality of your life and health. These include lifestyle suggestions (i.e. supplementation), further treatment options and personalised dietary recommendations from our nutritionist. We can also support you in implementing these changes and embed them in your life to sustain their positive impact.

Four to six weeks after your stay with us, you will receive your assessment report and have a full debrief in person or online. This gives us time to gather all laboratory results and consult second opinions to verify our findings so our recommendations are tailored accurately to your needs.
